The Medical Dermatology Society (MDS) wishes to ensure the broadest possible representation of its membership in directing the governance of its activities and in assuring the future development of the organization. Our Board of Directors and Standing Committees are viewed as vital and dynamic entities with significant responsibility for the stewardship of the MDS and are essential to maintaining a healthy organization. All members elected or selected to serve in a governing capacity should be committed to serving the Society and fully accept the responsibilities that are attendant upon office. Active participation in current projects, attendance at meetings, creative approaches to problem-solving and the development of new programs, as well as timeliness in terms of reporting, are all important qualities which should be sought in those nominated for office.
The Medical Dermatology Society (MDS) is seeking nominations for Board and Committee vacancies due to ending terms:
- Board of Directors
- Committee on Education and Programs
- Committee on Membership
- Committee on Finance
Candidates for the MDS Board of Directors and Standing Committees vacancies will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval during their Annual Board of Directors Meeting in January 2019. The approved slate of candidates will be presented to the membership at the MDS Annual Business Meeting, which will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Washington, D.C.. Newly appointed Board and Standing Committee members will begin their term at the conclusion of the 2019 MDS Annual Business Meeting.
