Why a Mentorship Program?
The Board of Directors of the MDS instituted a MDS Mentorship Program to
foster interest in careers in medical dermatology, especially in the
care of patients with serious dermatologic disease. Participants spend
one month at an institution under the direction of a senior MDS member.
The
program is open to residents, post-dermatology residency fellows and
junior faculty members who are available to spend one month with an MDS
mentor. Awardees receive $500 - $3,000 to cover transportation,
lodging and other expenses.
Information regarding the 2010/2011 Mentorship Program will be available
in summer/fall 2009.
